Susanna offers tuition for individuals or consorts at her seventeenth century house in the beautiful market town of Richmond in the Yorkshire Dales. Consorts are encouraged to come as a pre-formed group or group of friends and to have prepared some pieces in advance of the visit. Individuals within the ensemble are also welcome to have a lesson, either privately, or in an open format with other members of the group present. To create maximum flexibility Susanna charges an hourly rate for tuition to give participants the freedom to have as much or as little coaching as they choose and to allow the possibility of having time to explore the town and its picturesque environs.

Carlin House is located in the centre of Richmond, a moment's walk from the river, castle, theatre, shops, cafés and restaurants. Tuition takes place in a large music room which comfortably accommodates a six-part consort. Susanna offers tea, coffee and delicious cakes from Edwina's cake shop opposite the house (gluten-free alternatives available on request) but main meals are not provided. These are easy to find in the town.

For those coming from afar and wishing to extend their stay over several days there is a wide choice of B&B accommodation to suit every budget
